Automated Tetanus Antibody Test

The Tetanus Antibody Test from Avecon Diagnostics, Inc. is a liquid phase (homogeneous) immunoassay for the quantitative determination of total antibody to tetanus toxin in human serum and plasma obtained from plasma donor programs. The automated format eschews the labor, time and materiel requirements associated with the use of various ELISA, qualitative or bioassay tests for tetanus antibody. The Tetanus Antibody Test kit contains a single calibrator and a negative and positive control.

The only technician labor required is to load controls, patient specimens (with no prior dilution or any other pre-treatment) and press "start" on your instrument. Results are automatically printed out and may be directly downloaded to your laboratory information system for efficient reporting of results.

*based on an Abbott Aeroset clinical analyzer. Parameters are also available for other automated clinical chemistry analyzers. The only requirement for an analyzer is the ability to pipet sample plus 2 reagents, mix at 37°C and read at 340 nanometers.
